Terms of Service

1. Services
PressReady, operated by 1358 Norton LLC (“Company”), provides professional book publishing services including but not limited to manuscript writing, developmental and copy editing, interior typesetting, cover design, and distribution setup for self-publishing on platforms such as Amazon KDP. The specific scope of services for each engagement is confirmed in writing prior to the start of work.
All services are provided on a project basis. The exact deliverables, timeline, and fee for your project are agreed upon during or following your scoping call.
2. Payment
Payment for your project is due in full before the review draft is shared with you. This protects both parties and keeps the project moving on schedule. The minimum engagement fee is $3,000. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
No work beyond the initial scoping and planning phase will commence until payment has been received and confirmed.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are accepted only before work has begun. If you cancel your engagement before the Company has commenced substantive work on your project, you are entitled to a full refund. Once work has started, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Any cancellation request must be submitted in writing to support@pressready.co.
4. Refund Policy
All fees are non-refundable once work has commenced. There are no exceptions to this policy.
5. Dispute Policy
If you have a concern or dispute, you must raise it in writing to support@pressready.co within 30 days of delivery. Chargebacks filed without first going through this dispute resolution process will be treated as a breach of these terms.
6. Deliverables and Review
You have 60 calendar days from the date of delivery to review the draft and submit consolidated feedback. The Company will implement one round of revisions. After 60 days without feedback your engagement is considered complete and delivered.
Illustrations, photographs, tables, and figures are not included in any standard package unless specifically agreed to in your project scope.
7. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment, all rights to the completed manuscript and associated deliverables transfer to you, the client. You own 100% of your book and 100% of your royalties.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific project. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any unresolved dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
10. Modifications
The Company reserves the right to update these terms. The version in effect at the time your project is initiated governs your engagement.
